Nurses, and especially talented nurses, are the heart and soul of the health care system as we know it. Their immense job responsibilities extend beyond the clinical knowledge to care for individuals at every level of trauma. They are expected to manage the emotional health and well-being of families, multitask cases beyond the hours in a day, work on their feet with little rest and be on call 24/7.

Beyond that, the good ones, and there are many, have an innate sense of what goes unspoken by a patient in a stressful situation and reads the right course of action. They use persuasion to ensure their patients are delivering world-class care and they work around the clock, often at odd hours. They are unsung heroes. Often, not receiving the recognition and appreciation they so well deserve.

So this week, during National Nurses Week, we at Talent Plus celebrate them. We celebrate their courage, their strength, their stamina, their knowledge and their empathetic care.

So, doesn’t it make sense that when we have the opportunity to celebrate the nurses who are already putting in the hours, doing the hard work and often overlooked for the contribution they make to health care in our society, we take that opportunity?
