[Lincoln, Nebr.] – Larry Sternberg, JD, Fellow and Board Member with Talent Plus, Inc. has been invited to join the Iowa State University Hospitality Management Executive Advisory Council (HSPMEAC) for the Hospitality Management (HSPM) program. Sternberg was selected based on his expertise as a premier leader in hospitality, including his work at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and Hyatt and his legal background in hospitality. For the last 20 years, Sternberg has been a consultant and executive with Talent Plus, Inc. serving as president for three years. As well, he is coauthor of Managing to Make a Difference: How to Engage, Retain & Develop Talent for Maximum Performance (Wiley 2017).

The Hospitality Management program at Iowa State has been ranked 15th among the world’s top 100 hospitality and tourism programs, according to The Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Research and is housed in the Department of Apparel, Events and Hospitality Management (AESHM) in the College of Human Sciences where students have access to learning labs, such as the Joan Bice Underwood Tearoom — the longest student operated dining facility in the United States. Fall 2020, the Hospitality Management program will open Sparks, a student operated café in the new 140,000 square feet Student Innovation Center on campus.
