When Talent Plus ® colleagues were asked where they wanted to make a difference this year, the Food Bank of Lincoln was once again close to their hearts. Talent Plus is proud to announce that the Food Bank of Lincoln has been chosen as a 2026-27 social responsibility pillar. To celebrate the partnership, colleagues gathered during their weekly Formation to welcome Michaella Kumke, president and CEO of the Food Bank of Lincoln, and John Mabry, chief relationship officer.
“It means a lot that you [Talent Plus] recognize the work we’re doing and the partnership that we share for another year, so thank you,” said Kumke. Since their founding in 1982, the Food Bank of Lincoln has focused their mission on alleviating hunger in Southeast Nebraska. In the past year alone, it distributed food to approximately 254,000 households, making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families throughout the region.
Earlier this summer as part of this year’s Colleague Summit week, team Talent Plus participated in a fundraiser for the local Backpack Program, which provides food-filled backpacks for students over weekends and school breaks. This year, Team Talent Plus was proud to donate $8,800 to support this vital program, helping make a difference for local families and students.
Each year, Talent Plus colleagues select three Social Responsibility Pillars that reflect the causes they want to support through their time, talent and financial contributions. Dana Dorn, Talent Plus Resource Lead says, “I’m excited to see our partnership [with the Food Bank of Lincoln] renewed so we can continue serving our community together.”
In addition to the Food Bank of Lincoln, Talent Plus is partnering with two other pillars, CEDARS and Extra•Ordinary People, both chosen by Talent Plus. Our Social Responsibility Pillars program focuses on making a positive impact in our local community. At Talent Plus we recognize our civic, charitable and environmental responsibilities and generously donate our time, talent and treasure.
