About this episode:
City Impact’s non-tax supported vision is to see urban youth, families, and neighborhoods transformed from the inside out. In 2007 City Impact received a $1.7 Million grant to develop Strengths Based Leadership for urban youth in partnership with the Hope Center for Kids in Omaha, NE. Since then the organization has grown where City Impact has a full-time staff of 8, part-time staff of 20+, and an annual budget of $1.0 Million. Brad led the charge to recently build 14 affordable rent-to-own townhomes adjacent to their new City Impact Center. The recent capital campaign for City Impact has seen $4.5 Million raised toward the $5.0 M goal. In 2015, over 1400 volunteers invested over 20,000 hours in Lincoln’s urban neighborhoods through various City Impact programs.
